A meeting was called and Ralph looked restless. That made everyone uneasy. I couldn’t help, but worry something was bothering him and I knew it was big.
He was worrying about the fire, the lack of shelters, the beast, and how some boys gave more importance to the hunt. Soon enough Jack was up there next to him arguing because from where he saw it, he had made everyone a favor by bringing meat. I looked at them in shock and my mouth hung open as well, Eric was mirror to me beside me.
Jack was breaking the rules; no one was supposed to talk without conch and you never interrupt the chief. Jack didn’t care and Ralph shouted that rules were all we had. We knew he was right, but Jack yelled and left. The platform remained silent for a while and then everyone dispersed. The only ones left were Simon, Piggy and Ralph.
